Recently, whenever we meet with the people in our neighbouring countries, particularly young people, a lot is expected from the Japanese. As a developed nation we feel that we have certain responsibilities. Our company, Social Innovation Company (SIC) was established. Our corporate philosophy is to meet the needs of our less developed neighbours with kind intentions and support from the Japanese people.
Japanese people have been working hard for a long time even under the unstable social conditions of the past. Currently Japan's accumulated assets total more than 1,600 trillion yen.
If Japan were not to have received the monetary, technical, political and humanitarian support from foreign entities following WWII we most likely would not have witnessed the current conditions in Japan.
Presently, our neighbouring countries are interested in the past growth process leading to the current favourable economic conditions in Japan and wish to use Japan as a benchmark in their efforts to emulate Japan's success.
We have provided financial and marketing supports to a venture capital that seek to preserve our global environment. Our goal now is to focus on providing support to our neighbours by means of consultation and the provision of manpower, technology and funding drawing from our vast experience.
We have been exhaustively examining and assessing the present and future status of our neighbors for some time in order to set SIC's roadmap and are now reaching out to ASEAN countries. We have decided that our first phase would involve The Socialist Republic of Vietnam. There are multiple reasons behind this decision. Firstly, Vietnam was accepted as a new WTO member in January 2007 and the projected economic development looks very positive. Another good example would be the focus on developing the country's infrastructure and decentralization. Possibly with the support of Japanese ODA, it has been decided that Vietnam Railway Public Corporation (VR) would conduct the preliminary research to realize the bullet trains between Hanoi and Ho Chi Mihn, 2008.
We are dedicated to positively contributing to Vietnam bearing in mind factors such as the preservation of the environment, appropriate and ethical distribution of wealth in a way that is conducive to the greater good for society. We are actively seeking the cooperation of public institutions, groups, corporations, and like-minded individuals in both Japan and Vietnam.
We very much look forward to your cooperation and support.
